As Belmont’s CEO and owner, Nancy leads Belmont with passion—inspiring collaboration, high performance standards and customer-focused teams. Nancy’s business background is a great asset as she consults with clients on how to operationalize the brand promise into every-day processes and procedures. Her ability to see the human side of business, identifying areas for increased performance through better communication and team engagement, is a key to building operational success. Nancy’s client work includes internal communications efforts for the US Army, where she plans campaigns and other methods of employee engagement.

Prior to Belmont, Inc., Nancy worked in the non-profit world as director of grants administration then consultant for Freedom House, a multi-million dollar international organization that promotes democracy around the world. During the merger between Freedom House and National Forum Foundation, she was instrumental in integrating both the finances and teams of the two organizations. Other duties included proposal development, oversight of accounting for international offices and grantees, and operations support.

In 1999, Nancy participated in Freedom House’s American Volunteers for International Development program, serving as a volunteer for four months in Zagreb, Croatia transferring financial management, fundraising, and board development expertise to an emerging Croatian non-profit.

Nancy served on the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce board of directors (2005-2007) and executive committee (2006-2007); completed two years as the Chairman (2005-2006) and still serves on the board of the Alexandria Small Business Development Center. In 2005, she completed Leadership Alexandria. In 2007, she brought Alexandria creative firms together to launch iMAGINE Alexandria, a movement to make Alexandria a national hub for creativity, and currently serves as Chairman of the Board.
